One of the best things about working at Beyond Meat is that we each have to wear multiple hats. As Caitlin prepared one of our new up and coming products (shhh it’s a secret), Justin and Jamie had to shoot it. #startuplife
Office birthdays are the best! Justin (our Digital Manager aka digidude) tried to keep his birthday a secret from us…. As if I would let that happen!! Sooo I made sure to bring balloons and tie them to his chair. Ohh and #CAKE!
So today we had to work from home due to some construction going on in the office. I took full advantage of this and did my first round of emails in bed (yes, it is as amazing as it sounds). This also meant that finally I could drink my green drink in peace. Everyone at the office likes to put down my green drink capabilities… They think my smoothies taste like grass. But hellooo that’s why I bought the Vitamix! Where else am I going to get all the nutrients and raw energy my drinks provide? I don’t care what anybody says, nobody eats raw kale. Nobody.
This morning I was reminiscing on my time spent in Italy last fall. I love to travel because I love how much it strokes my curiosity and awakens my inner child self by offering new “first-time” experiences. Whether it be across the world or down the street, the power of experiencing something new is eye-opening. When I came back from this trip, I had a new sense of purpose and motivation to do something for the world. With in that same week of my return, I landed my job at Beyond Meat. I love Beyond Meat’s mission to perfectly replace animal meat with plant-based meat and I love the sense of passion each and everyone of us here brings to the office every single day. In honor of Robin Williams I will sign off with one of his many legendary quotes, “No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.”
Last Wednesday we had a mandatory company bowling event. I know… I’m so tired of them making me leave my desk at 2 o’clock just to drink beer and showcase my true athletic skills to the entire office. Okay okay, I’m lying. I actually suck at bowling and I actually like leaving all my work behind to watch these goofballs duke it out for the Beyond Meat Bowling Champion title. To be honest, I don’t even know if we crowned a winner. Round 2 anyone?!!
I had such an amazing time in Orange County at our web re-design photo-shoot! I got to help the photographer and food stylist set the scenes and direct the models. Our new website is going to be amazing #staytuned
